Gasrec’s Leadership Team

Meet the Leadership Team who have more than 100 combined years experience in industrial gas, process plant management, sustainable project development and waste recycling logistics.

Rob Wood

  • Rob joined Gasrec in 2013 to lead the company through a key stage of growth.

    Before joining Gasrec he held a variety of commercial roles in BP’s downstream, chemical and upstream gas businesses over a 24-year career. His current focus is government and industry affairs promoting the use of gas and its contribution to decarbonising heavy transport.

Mark Siddle

  • Mark joined Gasrec in 2016 to manage and develop the projects team as Projects Director with responsibility for delivery of all gas refuelling station projects. In 2022 Mark became Chief Operating Officer (COO) with responsibility for business efficiency, organisational capability, strategic developments and safety & risk oversight.

    Prior to joining Gasrec Mark worked for bp for 25 years in the chemicals, power & gas and alternative energy businesses, following which he provided consultancy services in the energy sector prior to joining Gasrec.

Brian Cutler

  • Brian joined Gasrec in 2014 to redefine core financial systems and processes ensuring robustness and scalability to support growth. His current focus is fundraising and structuring to support growth and deliver economies of scale.

    Prior to joining Gasrec he spent 9 years at Petrochem Carless, a chemical and fuel blending business, contributing to substantial growth, preparing the businesses for sale, providing due diligence support to shareholders, potential investors and banks.

    Brian is a Chartered Management Accountant with 19 years PQE.

Tony Robinson

  • Tony joined Gasrec in 2013 to build in house technical capability in operations and engineering and is now responsible for safety, operations and engineering across Gasrec.

    Prior to joining Gasrec he worked at National Grid for 13 years initially in the LNG storage peak shave business followed by a period in the Pipeline Maintenance Centre with National Grid Transmission.

    His current focus is on the efficiency of operations and engineering using emerging technology to improve the customers experience and confidence of using gas as a transport fuel, with zero tolerance and high focus on safety.

James Westcott

  • James joined Gasrec in 2012 to support the first stages of infrastructure development, he now has responsibility for new business development and strategic growth opportunities.

    Prior to joining Gasrec James was Commercial Manager for a renewable energy company specialising in anaerobic digestion and the production of biomethane. His current focus is aligning industry requirements with future infrastructure developments, such that Gasrec delivers what is necessary for industry to make the leap to clean fuels.

Mark Smith

  • Mark Smith brings over two decades of experience from BP, where he worked as a Process and Safety Engineer in UK, Algeria, and Singapore. A Chartered Engineer with a Master’s in Chemical Engineering, he later worked as an independent safety consultant before joining Gasrec.

    His focus is in the ongoing development of HSSE systems and processes in support of business growth and the continuous reduction of risk in our operations, to the benefit of both our customers and employees.
